Why Join Cub Scouts?

Your time is valuable. Today's families, more than ever, struggle to find time to spend together. Cub Scouting helps to support your family by providing ready made opportunities for you and your child to do things together.

Your child needs to belong to a group of peers their own age. Through this sense of belonging they build their self esteem and learns to get along with others. As a parent, you
want to be assured that the groups that your youth joins will teach values consistent with good citizenship, character development, and physical fitness. Scouting BSA has been weaving these lifetime values into fun and educational activities since 1910.

In a society where your youth is taught that winning is everything, Cub Scouting teaches them to “do his best" and to be helpful to others.

Scouting teaches family values and works to strengthen your relationship with your child.  Scouting activities can bring added value to the time you already have with your little one.

But we know that kids do not join Cub Scouts to build their character. They join because it is fun!  Scouting is fun with a purpose!

Many of the activities happen right in the den and pack. The most important are the weekly den meetings and the monthly pack meetings.

Apart from the fun and excitement of Cub Scout activities, the Cub Scout Promise, the Law of the Pack, and the Cub Scout sign, handshake, motto, and salute all teach good citizenship and contribute to a child's sense of belonging.

Come join the fun of CubScouting as a family... it's fun!

You'll make new friends, too, as you work with the parents of your child's new friends. No job is too difficult when you're having fun as part of a team of Cub Scout parents, reinforcing each others' efforts to help your youth grow up to be good citizens.
